ALGIERS- The leader of the El Bina Movement, Abdelkader Bengrina, said, this Saturday in Algiers, that the construction of New Algeria “requires the concerted efforts of all the living forces of the country to form a united and solid national front.”
Speaking at the opening of his party’s congress at the “Abdelatif Rahal” International Conference Center, Bengrina said that the construction of New Algeria to which all Algerians aspire “needs the concerted efforts of all the living components of the country—state, opposition, parties, institutions, and national personalities—to form together a united national front that will serve as a framework for collective action.”
In this wake, Bengrina warned all those who would dare to attack state institutions. “Whoever attacks the institutions of the Algerian state and its presidency is a traitor,” he declared, stressing that “the President of the Republic is the protector of the constitution and the guarantor of the unity of the Algerian people and the defense of its sovereignty”.
Praising the achievements made, Bengrina affirmed that they were obtained thanks to the people’s awareness of the values and constants of the glorious war of liberation and their loyalty to its martyrs.
He also stressed that the stability experienced by Algeria, despite the fluctuating global context, was “the fruit of the constitutional choice that spared the country the dangers that threatened the identity and sovereignty of the Algerian nation.”
For the leader of the El Bina movement, “economic development is today the real challenge to preserve the achievements of security, stability, reform, diversity, and national initiative.”
In the same vein, Bengrina hailed “the measures taken by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to preserve the dignity of the citizen and mitigate the effects of the crises that were looming large, as well as his consideration for civil society, the exercise of trade union rights, and the promotion of freedoms.”
Bengrina also welcomed the achievements of Algerian diplomacy and its strong comeback at the regional and international levels, stressing the need to end the occupation in Western Sahara and support the Palestinian people.
