Algiers, Algeria | July 2nd 2024 — Abdelkader Bengrina, the President of the El-Bina Movement, affirmed the movement’s support for the ongoing efforts to complete the construction of the New Algeria in the upcoming presidential elections scheduled for September 7th. Speaking at a popular gathering in Tamanrasset on Monday evening, Bengrina emphasized the importance of continuing the state’s bold steps taken in recent years, despite the obstacles posed by envious and hostile agendas against Algeria and its people.
Support for Presidential Elections
In his speech, Bengrina highlighted the necessity of a clear choice in the upcoming presidential elections, which is to support the efforts to complete the New Algeria project. He called on citizens to actively participate in the electoral process, stating, “Our choice in the forthcoming presidential elections is to support the efforts to complete the New Algeria project. We urge citizens to come out in large numbers to the polling stations to build an Algeria that meets the aspirations of the new generations.”
National Unity and Sovereignty
Bengrina also stressed the importance of recalling the values of cohesion to achieve popular legitimacy, sovereignty, and unity in national decision-making. He reiterated his call to build a “national alliance for Algeria” that integrates all party and political specificities for the sole benefit of Algeria. This alliance aims to foster unity and cooperation among various political entities to strengthen the nation’s stability and progress.
Regional Responsibilities and Leadership
Addressing regional challenges, Bengrina underscored Algeria’s significant responsibilities towards its region and neighbors, rooted in its principles of loyalty to the values of liberation. He stated, “Algeria has great duties towards the region and its neighbors, based on its principles of loyalty to the values of liberation. Algeria is a nation capable of leading regional development in the African neighborhood.”
Solidarity with Oppressed Peoples
Bengrina reiterated his unwavering support for oppressed peoples, particularly the Palestinian people, who suffer from “barbaric policies and a genocidal war in the neighborhoods of Gaza and Rafah.” He condemned the ongoing Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip and reaffirmed Algeria’s steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
