Betrayal of the Nation: Morocco Strengthens Military Ties with the Zionist Entity Amid Public Outrage

Algiers, Algeria | February 13th, 2025 — In yet another treacherous move that deepens its complicity with the Zionist entity, the Moroccan regime has finalized a new arms deal with Zionist arms manufacturers, further entrenching its military ties with the apartheid state. This brazen defiance comes in stark contrast to the overwhelming rejection of normalization by the Moroccan people, who have persistently condemned all forms of collaboration with the Zionists, particularly in the military sector, warning of the existential threat it poses to national security and sovereignty.

Reports have surfaced revealing that a Zionist arms company has secured a contract to supply Morocco with an arsenal of weapons. This agreement comes at a time when the same company has been forced to cancel major deals across European nations due to massive public pressure from pro-Palestinian movements. The growing resistance in Europe against Zionist arms companies, which profit from the bloodshed of Palestinians, has even led to the closure of one of their factories in the United Kingdom. Yet, rather than heed these global warnings, the Moroccan regime has shamefully chosen to deepen its alliance with an entity that is widely recognized as a threat to regional stability.

The insistence of the Moroccan monarchy on reinforcing ties with the Zionist regime—ignoring the clear and urgent demands of its people to dismantle all normalization agreements—demonstrates a dangerous willingness to surrender national interests to foreign control. Many Moroccan human rights organizations have warned that the Zionists have infiltrated the country’s political, economic, and military institutions to the point where strategic decisions are now being dictated by Tel Aviv, not Rabat.

It is worth recalling that Morocco had previously acquired Zionist-made “Harop” suicide drones in a $22 million deal, reinforcing the regime’s growing reliance on Zionist military technology. Further reports suggest that Morocco has facilitated the construction of two drone production units on its soil, using Zionist expertise. Additionally, Rabat has sealed a controversial multi-million-dollar contract for the purchase of Zionist surveillance satellites, a move that international media has linked to espionage purposes.

The Moroccan public, already struggling under an unprecedented economic crisis and a deteriorating social climate, is left questioning the rationale behind these extravagant military expenditures. As poverty and unemployment soar, the regime continues to funnel billions into military deals that serve the interests of the Zionists rather than the Moroccan people. The alarming militarization of Morocco under Zionist influence has raised red flags among analysts who argue that these deals not only deepen the country’s dependency on foreign entities but also pose a direct threat to its sovereignty.

Moroccan anti-normalization activists and pro-Palestinian organizations have consistently denounced these military agreements, emphasizing that they undermine the country’s independence and embroil it further in Zionist geopolitical schemes. They have warned of the catastrophic consequences of granting war criminals from Tel Aviv unfettered access to Moroccan territory and security infrastructure. The head of the Moroccan Organization for Supporting the Causes of the Ummah, Abdel-Samad Fathi, has previously stated that the Zionist entity has infiltrated Morocco’s security sector, a move that should be regarded as an existential danger to the entire region.

The continued security and military normalization with the Zionist entity is not only a national disgrace but also a direct betrayal of Morocco’s historical commitment to the Palestinian cause. The Moroccan people, in their unwavering support for Palestine, have taken to the streets time and again to demand the immediate termination of all agreements with the Zionist state and the expulsion of its representatives from Moroccan soil.
