ALGIERS- In a powerful address during the extraordinary plenary session held at the People’s National Assembly, Ibrahim Boughali, the Speaker of the People’s National Assembly, issued a resounding call to all parliaments worldwide to rise against “tyranny” and the relentless Zionist aggression targeting the Gaza Strip.
Expressing his deep condemnation of the ongoing Zionist aggression, Boughali held the UN Security Council fully accountable for the Zionist occupation’s flagrant violations. He emphasized that the current situation represents a grotesque chapter in human history, where those involved are forced to either accept the status quo or face displacement.
“As representatives of the Algerian people, who consider the Palestinian cause as central to our own, we must speak out,” Boughali asserted. He lamented the silence of international organizations while the Palestinian people are being mercilessly slaughtered before the eyes of the world.
Boughali posed a crucial question, “How long will the occupation be allowed to act with impunity, perpetrating the most heinous acts of violence and war crimes?” He stressed that international organizations have no authority to lecture others on human rights and freedoms.
The spokesperson also denounced the hypocritical double standards adopted by certain countries and organizations when it comes to the Zionist occupation. “We vehemently condemn those who prioritize normalization at the expense of the Palestinian people,” Boughali declared.
In conclusion, Ibrahim Boughali commended Algeria’s unwavering stance in denouncing the genocide being perpetrated against the Palestinians. He called upon parliaments worldwide to unite in solidarity, emphasizing the urgent need to confront and put an end to the relentless aggression.
