Agro-food Cevital Group snatches 2022 Algerian Quality Award

ALGIERS– The agro-food Cevital Group snatched the 2022 Algerian Quality Award, an annual prize garnered to Algerian organizations and companies that stand out for their quality services and/or products.

The award ceremony took place at the International Conference Center (CIC), Abdelatif Rahal, in Algiers, indicated, this Tuesday, a press release from the Ministry of Industry, published on its official Facebook page.

The Minister of Industry, Ahmed Zeghdar, presented the honorary trophy to the winner of this 16th edition, in this case; Cevital, the country’s main agri-food group, in the presence of several ministers and the Jordanian ministerial delegation, on a working visit to Algeria.

The jury of the prize also awarded a certificate of recognition to the “Sodia” Foundation for Industrial Development of the Hasnaoui Group, for its efforts, particularly in the field of research and development. For his part, the Minister of Industry granted a certificate of encouragement to the subsidiary of Qantara Grain at the Agrodiv complex.

In this vein, the Minister of Industry congratulated Cevital group, contributing this merit ” to the tireless efforts and the perseverance of its leaders, managers and workers, as well as the continuous improvement of the quality of the products and increasing production levels to gain new global market share based on quality and innovation.”

The heir of Issad Rebrab, Malik Rebrab, expressed, on his part, his gratitude to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for embarking on a very ambitious all-out reform program aimed at achieving economic recovery, hence, installing genuine long-term economic stability and prosperity. He also thanked the Minister of Industry for this encouraging initiative.

In a statement, the boss of Cevital said that the goal of his group was to “build an economically strong Algeria, capable of achieving the desired objectives”.

Created in 1971, Cevital Group is the first Algerian private industrial group. As an active conglomerate in four main business sectors – food processing, industry, logistics & distribution, automotive & services – Cevital Group predicts a turnover on the 2025 horizon of about 20 billion euros thanks to far-sighted approach of its founder, the Algerian industrialist Issad Rebrab, who summed up the keys to his group ‘success in seven points, namely; the reinvestment of the gains in sectors that carry high added value, the research and implementation of the most advanced technological know-how, the attention given to the choices of men and women, to their training and the transfer of expertise, the corporate spirit, the sense of innovation, the search for excellence, and the pride and passion in serving the national economy.

The prize, launched in 2003 by the Ministry of Industry, is, noteworthy, open to companies and organizations operating in Algeria. The winner receives a financial reward of two million Algerian dinars, an honorary trophy and a diploma of honor.
