ALGIERS- In a bold move to strengthen its foothold in the Algerian automobile market, the dynamic Chinese automotive brand, Chery, is rolling out 20 new dealerships across the country. Orchestrated by Auto Leader Company, Chery’s local representative, this initiative marks a significant step in the brand’s expansion in Algeria.
In a recent announcement underscoring its commitment to the Algerian market, Chery, renowned for its innovative and affordable vehicles, is extending its distribution network with the opening of 20 new dealerships in various regions of the country. This expansion, spearheaded by Auto Leader Company, consolidates Chery’s presence in Algeria, a market that is increasingly competitive and eager for automotive diversity.
The list of cities chosen for these new dealerships includes Bordj Bou Arreridj, Blida, Chlef, Ain Beida, El Arbaa, Ain Mlila, and Skikda. Additionally, Biskra, Sétif, Khenchela, Sidi Bel Abbés, Tlemcen, and Adrar are part of the expansion. The list also encompasses Tebessa, Tarf, Souk Ahras, Ouargla, Batna, Bejaia, and Oued Souf, covering a broad range of territories. This distribution strategy aims to make Chery cars more accessible to Algerian consumers by offering a variety of models suited to different needs and budgets.
Simultaneously with this territorial expansion, the company has indicated that further announcements regarding new dealerships will be made in the coming days, demonstrating Chery’s ambition to become a major player in the Algerian automotive market.
The announcement of this expansion was accompanied by links to the websites of the new dealerships, facilitating customer access to local information. This approach underscores Chery’s commitment to creating an enhanced customer experience in line with international standards in the automotive sector.
Chery’s representative in Algeria also announced on Facebook that vehicle sales and order placements would commence from Thursday, November 23. This initiative comes shortly after the November 9 announcement by Auto Leader Company during a press conference, revealing the official launch of the Chery brand in Algeria with a new branding.
This expansion was celebrated with the introduction of seven flagship models, including the Tiggo 2 Pro, Tiggo 4 Pro, Tiggo 7 Pro, as well as the Tiggo 8 Pro, Tiggo 8 Max, Arrizo 5, and Arrizo 8. With prices ranging between 200 and 500 million centimes, Chery aims to offer competitive options tailored to the diverse requirements of the Algerian market.
In a statement, the CEO of Auto Leader, Aïmene Cherit, expressed confidence in Chery’s growth potential in Algeria, emphasizing the ambitious goal of selling 11,000 vehicles before the end of the current year. For the following year, the company plans to increase its quota to 50,000 units, thereby reaffirming its commitment to the Algerian market and its clientele.
