Chief of Staff of Algerian Army Chanegriha Presides Over Eid Al-Fitr Well-Wishing Ceremony -Photos

ALGIERS- In a tradition reflecting the unity and camaraderie within the Armed Forces, General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the Algerian People’s National Army (ANP), led a ceremony of well-wishing on Thursday at the Ministry of National Defense headquarters to mark the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
The event, held on April 11, 2024, saw General Chanegriha extending warm Eid greetings in adherence to the longstanding customs of the Algerian military, as outlined in a statement released by the Ministry of National Defense.
The ceremony, attended by various high-ranking officials including the Secretary-General of the Ministry of National Defense, commanders of the armed forces and the National Gendarmerie, and heads of departments, as well as directors and chiefs of central services, emphasized the spirit of unity and solidarity among ANP personnel.
In a separate message posted on the Ministry of National Defense website, General Saïd Chanegriha conveyed his heartfelt wishes to all members of the ANP, extending his prayers for divine blessings and prosperity on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
General Chanegriha expressed his satisfaction with the observance of Ramadan under favorable conditions, marked by spirituality and piety, attributing the success to the concerted efforts of the ANP and other institutions to provide conducive conditions for citizens across the country to fulfill their religious duties.
Furthermore, he highlighted the comprehensive inspections conducted throughout the ANP during the holy month of Ramadan, underscoring the commitment and dedication of ANP personnel at all levels in upholding their constitutional duties. These duties, he emphasized, include safeguarding national security, stability, and sovereignty in the face of regional geopolitical and security challenges.
General Chanegriha reaffirmed the ANP’s unwavering commitment to preserving the security and stability of Algeria, pledging to confront any threats or dangers to the nation’s well-being with determination and resilience.
“I urge you to continue these persistent efforts, particularly in implementing the combat readiness and training programs outlined in the current annual combat readiness directive, aimed at strengthening the Algerian People’s National Army, across all its components. This aligns with the enlightened vision we have embraced in recent years, especially in our ongoing fight against the heinous phenomena of terrorism and organized crime in all its forms,” reiterated General Saïd Chanegriha.
The Chief of Staff of the ANP concluded his message by extending his best wishes to all ANP personnel on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, urging them to reflect on the sacrifices made by our venerable ancestors for the dignity and pride of the glorious Algeria during these blessed days.
