ALGIERS- The issue of child trafficking for prostitution in Morocco has become a growing concern in recent years. This disturbing trend has caught the attention of international organizations and governments alike, as it poses a serious threat to the safety and well-being of vulnerable children.

The exploitation of children for sexual purposes is a heinous crime that violates their basic human rights and dignity. In Morocco, young girls and boys are often lured into prostitution through false promises of employment or education opportunities. Once they are in the hands of traffickers, they are subjected to physical and emotional abuse, forced to engage in sexual acts, and denied access to basic necessities such as food, water, and medical care.

The consequences of child trafficking for prostitution are devastating and long-lasting. Victims often suffer from physical and psychological trauma, sexually transmitted infections, unwanted pregnancies, and drug addiction. They are also at risk of being arrested and prosecuted for prostitution, further compounding their already dire situation.
