Civil Status Service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Now Open Every Saturday

Algiers, Algeria | January 10th, 2025 —  The Civil Status Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) will now operate every Saturday starting from January 11, 2025, in line with the directives issued by the President of the Republic to enhance citizen services.

This decision reflects the commitment of the President of the Republic to ensuring the optimal handling of citizens’ concerns and aligns with the instructions of the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs.

According to the official statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “In application of the President’s directives aimed at better addressing the concerns of our citizens and following the guidance of the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, the Ministry informs all citizens that, as of January 11, 2025, the Civil Status Service will provide services every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.”

The MAE clarified that “this day will be exclusively dedicated to the issuance of civil status documents and the legalization of documents intended for use abroad.”
