Algiers, Algeria | May 22, 2024 — Mourad Karouf, the coach of Olympique Akbou, has left his future options open after guiding the team to a historic promotion to the top tier league, marking the first time in the club’s history. Reflecting on the season’s performance, Karouf noted that the team won 18 out of 23 matches, with only 2 defeats, showcasing their prowess both defensively and offensively. He specifically focused on enhancing the team’s defensive structure, resulting in a significant reduction in goals conceded.
Regarding his future with Olympique Akbou, Karouf indicated that he would concentrate on completing the current season before entering into discussions with the management. He underscored the importance of professionalism and mutual respect among players, staff, and fans, which he believes are essential for success.
