Algiers, Algeria | September 14th, 2024 — The Constitutional Court of Algeria has declared that it will announce the final results of the September 7, 2024, presidential election on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 13:00. This confirmation comes after the Court has meticulously reviewed all electoral appeals submitted in the aftermath of the vote.
In a statement released earlier today, the Court outlined its actions, asserting that the announcement follows its constitutional mandate, as defined under Article 191 of the Algerian Constitution, and in accordance with Article 260 of Ordinance 21-01, dated March 10, 2021. This legislation, amended and supplemented over the years, governs the country’s electoral regime and has been pivotal in regulating the transparency and legality of the electoral process.
“Exercising its constitutional prerogatives and in application of the provisions of Article 191 of the Constitution and Article 260 of Ordinance 21-01 of March 10, 2021, on the electoral system, as amended and supplemented, and following its adjudication on the appeals, the Constitutional Court will announce the final results of the presidential election of September 7, 2024, on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 1:00 PM,” the statement read.
