ALGIERS- The economic and financial penal pole of the tribunal of Sidi M’hamed (Algiers), last night, ordered the provisional detention of the former Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Micro-enterprises, Nassim Diafat.
The investigating judge also ordered the detention of 5 other people, including the general manager of the Algerian company for the realization of equipment and metal infrastructures “ALRIM”. Four (4) other people were also remanded in custody.
In addition, the investigating judge decided to place under judicial control members of the family of the former minister, including his sister, his wife and his two brothers. They are the subject of an ISTN.
Nassim Diafat appeared, last Thursday, alongside 38 other people, before the investigating judge in the case of the Group of Metallurgical and Steel Industries (Imetal), The former Minister Delegate is accused of granting undue privileges and contracts to this family’s members.
