ALGIERS, November 20, 2023 | The Bureau of the Council of the Nation, expanded to include parliamentary group presidents and the questor, expressed satisfaction with the “open-handed” policy adopted by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune towards economic actors and social partners, according to a statement from the Council of the Nation on Sunday.
Chaired by the Speaker of the Council of the Nation, Mr. Salah Goudjil, “the Bureau of the Council of the Nation closely followed the orientation speech of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune during his presidency of the closing ceremony of the activities of Global Entrepreneurship Week on Thursday, November 16, 2023,” the statement said, noting that it is “a speech that contains orientations and instructions establishing the foundations of a strong, stable, and respected state.”
“While welcoming the orientations and instructions of the President of the Republic,” the Council of the Nation’s Bureau deemed it to be “a roadmap that meets current requirements and paves the way for the future by consolidating the foundations of the national economy to achieve true economic independence capable of strengthening and consolidating the independence of political decision-making and reinforcing our country’s leadership as a listened-to and respected state.”
The Council of the Nation’s Bureau reaffirmed that “the New Algeria, led by the President of the Republic, has committed to the path of change in all areas, effectively working to alleviate the difficulties that hindered the action of economic actors, especially small and medium-sized enterprises.” It emphasized that “Algeria’s new algorithms are subject to pragmatic and realistic approaches, reassuring dynamic and innovative economic actors in wealth and job creation through the improvement of the business climate.”
The statement highlighted that the President of the Republic “is extremely attentive and convinced of the need to protect and strengthen the national economy while diversifying it, within the framework of realizing his 54 commitments.” It also recalled “the continuous and sincere efforts of the President of the Republic since assuming the highest office for a policy of collaboration and listening to social partners and economic actors.”
In this context, the Council of the Nation’s Bureau applauded the President’s “fruitful and sustainable” achievements aimed at “realizing the aspirations of the Algerian people.”
