Algiers, Algeria | July 11th, 2024 — The Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA) is actively pursuing its mission in Canada, working to solidify economic and commercial ties between the two nations. On Tuesday, the CREA delegation held a strategic meeting at the Algerian consulate in Montreal with the leaders of the Trade Facilitation Office (TFO) Canada, an organization dedicated to assisting foreign SMEs in penetrating the Canadian market. The discussions focused on enhancing export mechanisms for Algerian companies to Canada, exploring new avenues for commercial cooperation.

Strategic Meeting with Trade Facilitation Office

The meeting at the Algerian consulate saw in-depth discussions between the CREA delegation and TFO leaders. The primary agenda was to explore and implement strategies that would facilitate and boost Algerian exports to the Canadian market. The TFO, with its vast experience in aiding foreign enterprises, provided insights into the Canadian market’s demands and potential entry points for Algerian businesses. Both parties expressed optimism about the opportunities this collaboration could unlock for enhancing trade relations and economic growth.

Exploring Agricultural and Technological Innovations in Quebec

In addition to the strategic meeting, the CREA delegation visited the industrial center of Quebec, located in the region of Saint-Hyacinthe. This area is renowned for its advanced agricultural practices and cutting-edge agro-food technology. The delegation toured the facilities of CIAQ, a global leader in bovine genetics and reproduction. CIAQ offers innovative genetic solutions, vaccines, and agricultural products that significantly boost dairy and meat production yields for farmers. This visit provided valuable insights into how such advanced technologies could be integrated into Algeria’s agricultural sector to enhance productivity and sustainability.

Partnership Prospects with Boviteq and Semex Group

The delegation then proceeded to Boviteq, a subsidiary of the Semex Group, known for its state-of-the-art research and genetic technologies. Boviteq specializes in fertility solutions, leveraging its ultramodern laboratories to offer cutting-edge genetic services. The CREA delegation received a comprehensive presentation on Boviteq’s operations and activities, focusing on potential collaboration areas. This visit underscored the possibilities for strategic partnerships between Boviteq and Algerian companies, aiming to transfer knowledge and technological expertise to Algeria.

Towards Strategic Partnerships and Economic Growth

These engagements highlight CREA’s commitment to forging strong international partnerships that benefit the Algerian economy. By collaborating with leading Canadian organizations in agro-food and genetic technologies, CREA aims to introduce innovative solutions to Algeria, boosting its agricultural productivity and technological advancement. The mission to Canada is a testament to CREA’s proactive approach in seeking global partnerships that align with Algeria’s economic renewal and growth objectives.
