ALGIERS– The Cuban Ambassador to Algeria, Armando Vergara Bueno, held a working meeting with the president of the El Binaa al Watani Movement, Abdelkader Bengrina.
Mr. Vergara Bueno handed over an invitation letter from the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) to the President of the El Binaa al Watani Movement to visit Cuba, while also receiving an invitation for the PCC to participate in the upcoming congress of the party, slated for May.
The Ambassador of Cuba thanked El Binaa Movement for its multiple expressions of solidarity with the friendly Cuban people, especially in the fight against the unjust blockade imposed on Cuba for more than 60 years.
Algeria has had a strong and solid allyship with Cuba since its independence from French colonialism in the early 1960s. Both nations are bound by historical relations of friendship and solidarity, based on their common values of freedom, peace, and justice. Their privileged historical relations go back to the common struggle of their peoples and their commitment to support just causes worldwide.
