Culture Minister Soraya Mouloudji Extends Condolences to the Family of Renowned Thinker Abdelmalek Mourtadh

ALGIERS- Minister of Culture and Arts, Soraya Mouloudji, expressed her heartfelt condolences to the family of the thinker and researcher Abdelmalek Mourtadh following his passing away on Friday morning.

The Ministry’s official page released a statement from Minister Soraya Mouloudji, which read: “With deep sadness, profound humility, and a devout Muslim spirit, Dr. Soraya Mouloudji, Minister of Culture and Arts, received the devastating news of the demise of the late Abdelmalek Mourtadh, a distinguished writer who now rests in the embrace of God’s mercy and satisfaction. May he be counted among the righteous servants of the Almighty.”

Minister Soraya Mouloudji further remarked: “With the departure of Professor Mortada, Algeria, and indeed the entire Arab world, mourns the loss of an eminent figure in Arabic literature. He was a novelist, thinker, critic, and historian, whose contributions spanned various domains of knowledge, science, and literature. On this somber occasion, which cannot be easily overcome, the Minister extends her heartfelt condolences to all literary figures, wherever they may be, as well as to the family and loved ones of the deceased. May the Almighty grant the departed soul His abundant forgiveness and mercy, and may he find eternal solace in His vast Paradise, alongside the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, the righteous, and the noble companions. To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.”
