ALGIERS- Noureddine Sidi Abed, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Canada, presented his letter of credence to the Governor of Canada on Monday.
The diplomat received his accreditation from Canadian authorities as Algeria’s diplomatic representative in the country at the end of last November.
Previously, Noureddine Sidi Abed served as the Consul General of Algeria in New York (USA) from 2011 to 2015, and later as the Ambassador to Santiago, Chile until April 2020. He then assumed the role of Director-General of the General Directorate for Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad.
This formal presentation of credentials marks an important step in strengthening diplomatic ties between Algeria and Canada, paving the way for enhanced cooperation and collaboration in various fields of mutual interest.
