National Education Minister Abdelhakim Belabed has decided to take measures relating to the reorganization of the remaining period of the 2021/2022 school year, a ministry statement said on Saturday.
“In application of the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, following the consultations carried out with the Scientific Committee for monitoring the evolution of the Coronavirus pandemic and in accordance with the decision of the Prime Minister, Minister of Finance lifting the procedure closure of schools and the resumption of classes for the three levels of education from Sunday February 6, 2022 and having regard to the reports of the general inspectorate of the Ministry of Education and all the reports relating thereto, the Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belabed has taken a series of measures for the reorganization of the rest of the 2021-2022 school year,” said the same source.
These measures come after the decision to suspend classes from Thursday January 20 to Saturday January 29, 2022 and its renewal from Sunday January 30 to February 5, 2022″, after cases of covid-19 were recorded among the pupils and staff of Education in order to give them time to recover and to break the chain of contagion”.
The measures adopted also provide for the intensification of preventive measures and barrier gestures with a view to preserving the health of pupils, educational and administrative staff and all workers in the sector”, and the psychological care of pupils thanks to the school guidance and support system for pupils to overcome the psychological effects of the pandemic.
