El-Baraka Solidarity Caravan: Providing Aid to Flood-Affected Communities in Algeria, Gaza

ALGIERS- In response to the devastating floods that recently ravaged certain southern wilayas of the country, a solidarity caravan was launched yesterday in Algiers to provide aid and support to the affected communities. Led by Ahmed Brahimi, president of the charitable association El-Baraka, this initiative aims to alleviate the suffering of those impacted by the natural disaster.
The emergency humanitarian caravan comprises 1,400 food parcels and 300 sets of mattresses and blankets. These essential supplies are earmarked for distribution among the flood victims in El-Oued, Ouargla, and Touggourt, where families have been grappling with the aftermath of the floods. Additionally, a truck loaded with 300 food parcels is slated to reach impoverished families in the Tindouf wilaya, extending assistance to those in need beyond the immediate flood-affected areas.
Ahmed Brahimi emphasized the urgency of the situation, underscoring the critical need for prompt humanitarian intervention to address the pressing needs of the affected populations. He expressed solidarity with the flood victims and reaffirmed El-Baraka’s commitment to providing vital assistance during times of crisis.
Furthermore, Brahimi highlighted the association’s ongoing efforts to support communities beyond national borders. He revealed that El-Baraka had successfully delivered nine trucks loaded with tents and dates to the Gaza Strip via the Rafah crossing point. This humanitarian aid, part of a broader solidarity campaign, aims to provide relief to the people of Gaza in the face of the ongoing challenges posed by the Zionist aggression.
As part of this continued effort, three additional trucks were scheduled to be dispatched to Gaza yesterday, further bolstering the aid efforts initiated by El-Baraka. The association remains steadfast in its commitment to extending support to vulnerable communities, both domestically and internationally, and stands in solidarity with those affected by disasters and conflicts.
