El-Bina Movement Hosts Key Gathering on Role of Civil Society in Nation-Building in Algiers

ALGIERS- The El-Bina Movement organized a significant gathering in Algiers on Friday, delving into the pivotal role of civil society in the nation-building process. The event witnessed the participation of numerous associations actively engaged in various sectors.*
Chaired by El-Bina Movement’s Vice-President, Ahmed Mahmoud Khouna, the meeting welcomed representatives from national and local associations, focusing on areas such as youth and women’s empowerment, as well as the fight against drug abuse and social issues.
In his address, Mr. Khouna emphasized the movement’s commitment to organizing this crucial gathering, underlining the belief that civil society stands as an essential partner in tackling the challenges confronting the nation. He urged civil society actors to actively participate in all stages of the country’s development process, emphasizing that this responsibility extends beyond political parties to encompass all elements of civil society, including various associations.
Khouna highlighted that several workshops were conducted during the meeting, addressing the role of civil society in political life, as well as efforts to combat drug abuse and social challenges.
