El-Bina’s Bengrina Expresses Commitment to Tebboune’s Campaign, Addresses Concerns Over Regional, Electoral Issues

Coordination and Electoral Integrity

Regarding the management of coalition efforts, Bengrina clarified that, while the El-Bina Movement supports Tebboune, the responsibility for coordinating coalition activities is entrusted to the campaign manager. He expressed confidence in Merad’s capability to manage the coalition’s diverse elements effectively. “Our primary focus is on ensuring Tebboune’s victory. We are prepared to support his campaign in any capacity required, without concern for internal disputes,” Bengrina stated.

On the issue of electoral integrity, Bengrina robustly refuted allegations of bribery during the signature collection phase, asserting that no members of his party were implicated in such activities. He reaffirmed the El-Bina Movement’s zero-tolerance stance on corruption and committed to stringent actions against any members found guilty of unethical conduct.

Regional Instability and International Relations

Bengrina also addressed the broader context of regional instability, characterizing the current environment as challenging and tumultuous. He acknowledged the significant pressure exerted on Algeria’s military, security, and economic sectors but emphasized the nation’s enduring resilience. “Despite the pressures, Algeria remains a beacon of stability in a fractured region. These challenges only serve to fortify our national resolve,” he asserted.

In his commentary on the impact of French President Emmanuel Macron’s communications with Moroccan King Mohammed VI concerning the Western Sahara issue, Bengrina suggested that France’s internal issues and strategic interests could exacerbate the situation. He critiqued the alliance between France and Morocco, proposing that it might be driven by a broader agenda of resource exploitation and geopolitical maneuvering. “France’s alliance with Morocco and its objectives in the region reflect a broader strategy of resource extraction and geopolitical maneuvering,” Bengrina remarked, underscoring his critical perspective on the geopolitical dynamics at play.
