El Español: Morocco’s Plan to Acquire Zionist Merkava Tanks Raises Eyebrows!

ALGIERS- In a move that has sparked controversy and raised concerns, the Moroccan regime, commonly known as the Makhzen, is considering the acquisition of Zionist Merkava tanks. This decision has intensified debates surrounding the regime’s drift towards a path of war, aggression, and expansionism, closely aligned with its perceived ally, the Zionist entity.
According to reports from Spanish media outlet El Español, Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces, accused of displaying disregard for civilian lives by a BBC journalist, are increasingly acting as an auxiliary force for the Zionist military. Just a few weeks ago, Morocco announced the purchase of Zionist SpyX kamikaze drones, and now attention has turned to the potential procurement of the renowned Merkava tanks, known for their advanced capabilities.
Tel Aviv, showing its willingness to strengthen military ties with Rabat, has expressed its intention to sell decommissioned Merkava IV tanks to Morocco. Currently, the Moroccan army operates Soviet and American tanks, along with Chinese models acquired in the past decade. Therefore, the pursuit of Zionist tanks represents a significant departure from the country’s previous military equipment strategy.
It is worth noting that Morocco has faced controversy in the past regarding its tank acquisitions. The country had signed a contract with Czech company Excalibur Army to modernize a fleet of 130 T-72B tanks purchased between 1999 and 2001. However, after completing the necessary upgrades, only 56 tanks were returned to Morocco, while the remaining 74 were transferred to the conflict zone in Ukraine.
The potential acquisition of Merkava tanks by Morocco has evoked rage both domestically and internationally. Critics argue that this move signifies the regime’s alignment with a militaristic agenda, potentially undermining regional stability. Furthermore, concerns have been raised about the ethical implications of deepening military cooperation with the Zionist entity, particularly considering the ongoing Zionist occupation of Palestine.
