ALGIERS- The Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Yacine El-Mahdi Oualid, announced on Tuesday that close to 2,000 start-ups have been acknowledged as the best in their field.
During his speech at the Economic Forum held at the Higher School of Commerce(ESC) of Koléa, the Minister emphasized that their services receive hundreds of project proposals every week.
This significant number is a testament to the collaborative efforts between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as part of the government’s strategy to foster the growth of highly skilled and qualified entrepreneurs. The ultimate goal is to direct capital towards start-ups that hold great promise for the national economy. The Minister also highlighted that Algeria recently achieved a prominent position in an international ranking of start-ups.
