Algiers- Algeria, May 11, 2024 – The president of the El Moustakbal Front party, Fateh Boutbig, emphasized on Saturday in Guelma that the presidential elections scheduled for September 7th are pivotal for safeguarding the achievements made in the New Algeria.
Speaking at a gathering at the M’barek Boulouh Cultural Center, Mr. Boutbig stressed that “the upcoming presidential elections represent a significant milestone for preserving the gains made in the new Algeria,” highlighting that their occurrence “demonstrates the commitment of Algeria’s political leaders and respect for popular sovereignty.” He also affirmed “his party’s dedication to ensuring broad participation of the Algerian people in the upcoming presidential elections and its mobilization to ensure their success, to continue the endeavor of building the new Algeria and maintaining national stability.”
Mr. Boutbig outlined the achievements of the New Algeria in political, economic, and social spheres, underlining “the imperative to safeguard them.” He particularly emphasized “security and stability as top priorities, alongside significant economic progress allowing Algeria to compete in international markets across various industrial sectors while steering clear of risks associated with external debt.”
The president of the El Moustakbal Front also commended the social advancements achieved through what he termed “revolutionary” decisions by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. These included salary hikes, the revision of allowances for various social groups, and the introduction of unemployment benefits for youth to uphold their dignity and prepare them for employment, thereby contributing to the nation’s economic growth.
Fateh Boutbig’s statements underscored his party’s emphasis on the forthcoming elections as a crucial juncture in Algeria’s ongoing advancement. They emphasized the importance of continuing to build on progress while ensuring stability and social well-being for all citizens.
