Algiers- Algeria, May 8, 2024 – The 12th session of the Algerian-Turkish Intergovernmental Joint Commission for Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation will open tomorrow, Wednesday, in Ankara, Turkey, announced the Ministry of Energy in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the same source, this meeting will be co-chaired by the Minister of Energy, Mr. Mohamed Arkab, and the Turkish Minister of Family, Mrs. Mahinur Ozdemir Goktaş.
“This summit is held in accordance with the cooperation agreement signed between Algeria and Turkey on October 20, 1983. It will evaluate the state of cooperation since the last session held in Algiers in November 2021,” the statement said.
The works of this Commission are taking place in a context marked by a remarkable dynamism at all levels, fostered by the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation signed between the two countries in May 2006. Following high-level mutual visits, including the visit of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to Turkey, and the visit of the Turkish President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to Algeria, aimed at strengthening achievements and deepening bilateral ties in various fields through a genuine and diversified partnership, based on the win-win principle.
