Enhancing Bilateral Ties: Speaker of Mauritanian National Assembly in Algeria

ALGIERS- The Speaker of the Mauritanian National Assembly, Mr. Mohamed Ould Megett, arrived in Algeria on Friday for a four-day official visit, as announced by a statement from the People’s National Assembly (APN) office.
Upon his arrival at Algiers Airport, Mr. Megett was greeted by the Vice Speaker of the APN, Mr. Kasri Massoud, and the President of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr. Anrab Sidi.
This visit serves as an opportunity to “consolidate the excellent relations between the two countries for decades and explore the possibility of promoting joint cooperation at various levels, elevating it to the level of bilateral relations,” the statement highlighted.
During his stay, the Speaker of the Mauritanian National Assembly will engage in discussions with the speakers of both parliamentary chambers and hold meetings with high-ranking state officials. The visit aims to further strengthen diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between Algeria and Mauritania.
