Ferhat Abbas Airport: First ‘Jijel-Marseille’ return flight

ALGIERS- The first round-trip international flight took place on Friday from Ferhat Abbas airport in Jijel to Marseille (France), said the director of this infrastructure, Adel Fodil.

In a statement to the APS agency, Mr. Adel Fodil, said that “Ferhat Abbas International Airport today saw the launch of the first international flight to Marseilles (France), on board an aircraft of the Air Algerie company.

The plane took off around 8:40 a.m. with 16 passengers, while the return flight from Marseille to Jijel was at 12:30 p.m. with 109 passengers on board, he said, adding that the second flight to Marseille is slated for 18 April and will be followed by additional scheduled flights in the coming days.

A number of international flights scheduled from March 29 have been postponed due to lack of reservations, according to the same source.
