ALGIERS- On Sunday, the Minister of Finance, Laziz Faid, officially appointed Smaïl Hammaoui as the Inspector General of Tax Services, reporting directly to the General Directorate of Taxes.
The ceremony took place at the ministry’s headquarters, with the presence of Ms. Amel Abdellatif, the Director General of Taxes.
In his address, the Minister of Finance commended the extensive and illustrious career of the newly appointed tax services inspector. He emphasized the crucial role played by this inspection in the realm of recoveries.
Furthermore, the minister underscored the significance of transferring experience and knowledge, particularly within the tax sector, to the upcoming generations. This can be achieved through guidance and supervision, ensuring a sustained enhancement in taxation practices while upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency.
