Finance Minister holds working session with management of Directorate General of Taxes

ALGIERS- Mr. Laaziz Faid, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, held, today, on Thursday, June 01, 2023, a working session with the management of the Directorate General of Taxes to mark the appointment of two new deputy directors under the Directorate of Large Companies.
During the session, the Minister congratulated the newly appointed executives and reiterated his guidelines for the Department of Large Companies. These guidelines aim to instill a new dynamic within the structure, which, through its exposure and contribution to overall recovery, serves as a showcase of the national economy.
The Minister emphasized the fundamental values of integrity, commitment, and performance that managers in this structure must observe, with a call for accountability from all. He also stressed the importance of promoting strong ethical values within his ministerial department and the DGE more precisely.
The new guidelines issued aim to strengthen the morality of practices within this entity, which is essential for the national economy. Integrity is a fundamental pillar to ensure sound and fair governance. Each executive in this department is required to demonstrate integrity in the performance of their duties by respecting the laws and regulations in force and acting responsibly.
To guarantee the effective implementation of these guidelines, the Minister has announced the immediate reactivation of disciplinary commissions within each department of the Ministry of Finance. These commissions will play an essential role in regulating and sanctioning deviant behavior in relation to professional ethics.
In the same context, the Minister has assured his commitment to accompany and support the executives of the Department of Large Enterprises in this new dynamic, in order to strengthen the credibility and image of the services of the Ministry of Finance. He has emphasized the development of human resources and the priority to be given to training to establish the best professional and ethical practices as daily work standards.
Finally, the Minister has encouraged all stakeholders to fully adhere to these principles, in order to contribute to the prosperity and sustainable development of the country.
