FM Ahmed Attaf’s Productive Visit to Slovenia: Warmly Welcomed by Tanja Fajon

ALGIERS- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, representing the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, embarked on a working visit to Slovenia. On Monday, he was graciously received by Tanja Fajon, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of this nation.
Slovenia and Algeria enjoy a robust and extensive bilateral relationship, sharing common perspectives on numerous global issues, as highlighted by the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its official “X” account. Both countries, as non-permanent members of the UN Security Council, aspire to further enhance their collaboration at the multilateral level.
It is worth noting that Ahmed Attaf’s visit was extended as an invitation from his counterpart, Tanja Fajon. This visit is part of a joint effort to strengthen bilateral relations, with a particular focus on activating the exchange of diplomatic representation through the establishment of embassies in the respective capitals. Additionally, the visit aims to explore new avenues for Algerian-Slovenian cooperation across various economic sectors, as stated in a recent ministry press release.
In addition to his meetings with Tanja Fajon, the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs will also have the privilege of meeting with the Slovenian President, Natasa Pirc Musar, as well as the President of the National Council of Slovenia, Urska Klakocar Zupancic. Furthermore, he will engage in a productive discussion with Bojan Kumer, the Minister of Environment, Climate, and Energy.
Ahmed Attaf’s visit to Slovenia signifies a significant step towards fostering stronger ties between the two nations. It is an opportunity to deepen mutual understanding and explore avenues for collaboration in various domains.
