FM Attaf Holds Meeting with President of Romanian Senate

ALGIERS- During his official visit to the Republic of Romania, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Attaf had a fruitful meeting with his Romanian counterpart, Luminita Odobescu. Additionally, he was warmly received in Bucharest by the President of the Romanian Senate, Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca.
As per the press release issued by the Ministry, the meeting served as a platform to emphasize the unwavering political commitment of both nations’ leaders to revitalize their shared historical heritage. Furthermore, it provided an opportunity to capitalize on the available prospects for enhancing cooperation and partnership between Algeria and Romania.
Both parties acknowledged the pivotal role of parliamentary diplomacy in bolstering the newfound dynamism in Algerian-Romanian relations. This was exemplified through the establishment of parliamentary friendship groups on both sides, which have played a crucial role in fostering closer ties.
By prioritizing the revival of their common historical legacy and leveraging the existing opportunities, Algeria and Romania are poised to strengthen their bilateral relations.
