ALGIERS- Algeria is set to host the first-ever Scientific Conference on Food Security in the Arab World this May. The announcement was made by President Abdelamdjid Tebboune, who stated that the conference will bring together leading Arab specialists and experts to develop scientific and practical proposals, as well as concrete projects to support the food security of Arab peoples.
The conference is a direct result of the Algiers Summit, which took place on November 1 and 2, 2022. The summit placed unprecedented importance on economic issues, with a particular focus on food security and the need for cooperation mechanisms to promote economic integration.
