ALGIERS- The mobile operator “Mobilis” achieved a turnover of 36.7 billion dinars in the first quarter of 2023, against 32.5 billion dinars in the same period of 2022, an increase of 13% in one year, according to a press release from the public operator.
Mobilis also achieved “positive” earnings without interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA), thus increasing by 15% to reach 16.6 billion dinars as of March 31, 2023.
It also saw a significant 7% increase in subscribers, representing 1.4 million new subscribers between the first quarter of 2023 and the same period in 2022, bringing the total number to 21.7 million subscribers.
On this occasion, the CEO of Mobilis, Chawki Boukhazani, declared that the results for the first quarter of 2023 “confirm the efficiency and performance of the company by maintaining the same growth model achieved the previous year.”
“These figures are the result of the implementation of a strategy aimed at improving the quality and modernity performance of the network in terms of coverage and speed,” he added.
