ALGIERS- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, on Monday, held phone talks with his Sudanese counterpart, Ali Al-Sadiq Ali, during which he renewed the permanent solidarity of Algeria with Sudan to maintain its security and stability.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides discussed means of consultation and coordination on the development of issues of common interest at the regional level.
The call was also an opportunity for Minister Ali Al-Sadiq Ali to congratulate Minister Ahmed Attaf on his appointment as head of Algerian diplomacy.
The statement added that the two ministers were delighted with the quality of the historical relations of brotherhood, cooperation and solidarity between the two sisterly countries, stressing “their aspiration to work together to explore promising prospects for bilateral cooperation in the economic fields, serving the best interests of both countries.
Regarding political coordination, the heads of diplomacy of the two countries exchanged their views on a number of Arab and regional issues of common interest. They also reaffirmed the importance of reforming and strengthening joint Arab action in order to preserve Arab security in all its dimensions.
