Algiers, Algeria | June 14th, 2024 — President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria met with several world leaders during the G7 Summit in Bari, Italy, according to a statement from the Algerian presidency.
The President engaged in discussions with Charles Michel, President of the European Council, during the sidelines of the summit. He attended the summit at the invitation of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and took the opportunity to meet with leaders from G7 member countries, as well as heads of state from various participating nations and presidents of international, regional, and continental organizations.
Among the prominent figures President Tebboune interacted with were President Joe Biden of the United States, President Emmanuel Macron of France, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada, and President Mohamed Ben Zayed Al Nahyane of the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, he held meetings with President William Ruto of Kenya and President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani of Mauritania.
These engagements highlight Algeria’s active participation and diplomatic efforts at the G7 Summit, focusing on bilateral relations, regional cooperation, and international dialogue on key global issues. The discussions underscored Algeria’s commitment to strengthening ties with both traditional and emerging partners, fostering dialogue on economic cooperation, security challenges, and mutual interests across diverse sectors.
