General Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina Meets with Ghoulamallah, Extols Algeria’s Stance

Algiers, February 13, 2024 – Dr. Bouabdallah Ghoulamallah, President of the Algerian High Islamic Council, held a meeting with Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Grand Mufti, Dr. Hussein Kavazović, on the sidelines of his participation in the international conference held in Sarajevo under the theme: “Religious Leaders for Coexistence and Peace.”
According to a statement from the Algerian High Islamic Council, Ghoulamallah met with the Grand Mufti and Head of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Hussein Kavazović, at the headquarters of the Islamic Community, where the two exchanged views and discussed ways to enhance relations between similar institutions in Algeria and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the meeting, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Grand Mufti expressed gratitude to Algeria for its honorable positions regarding the issues of the Islamic nation and its efforts towards peace and coexistence among peoples and civilizations.
The meeting, attended by the Algerian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Toufik Milat, took place on the sidelines of the international conference “Religious Leaders for Peace and Coexistence,” which is being held on February 12th and 13th in Sarajevo.
The gathering aims to promote dialogue and collaboration among religious leaders worldwide to foster peace and coexistence in societies marked by diversity and multiculturalism. It serves as a platform for religious leaders to exchange ideas, share experiences, and develop strategies to address global challenges and promote harmony among different faith communities.
