General Said Chanegriha Oversees Ceremony Honoring ANP Officers Participating in the 70th Liberation Revolution Parade

Algiers, Algeria | November 11th, 2024 —  In a ceremony held at the Ministry of National Defense headquarters, General Saïd Chanegriha, the Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), extended his heartfelt congratulations to the military personnel and leaders who played an instrumental role in the success of the military parade marking the 70th anniversary of the November 1st, 1954, Glorious Revolution.

The military parade, which took place in celebration of this monumental anniversary, was hailed as a remarkable success that showcased the strength, unity, and resolute commitment of Algeria’s armed forces. The General emphasized that the success of the parade, which involved the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Air Defense, was a testament to Algeria’s enduring commitment to honor the legacy of the revolution. “This event has reminded us of a glorious era in our history. It paid tribute to the valiant martyrs who sacrificed everything for the freedom, independence, and sovereignty of our nation,” said Chanegriha.

He further articulated the importance of preserving the sacrifices of the millions of martyrs who paved the way to independence, stressing that the ANP’s role in defending national security remains essential in safeguarding the principles of the revolution. “Our loyalty to the sacrifices of the martyrs of Algeria is manifested in the strengthening of our defensive capabilities and the commitment to the preservation of our national memory,” he added.

General Chanegriha also highlighted the President’s significant focus on national memory as an integral part of Algeria’s strategic development. “National memory is one of the cornerstones of the President’s vision to build a powerful, victorious Algeria, fostering unity, security, and strategic progress. It is essential for ensuring a dignified life and lasting stability for our people,” he said.

The ceremony culminated with the presentation of distinctions to military leaders and personnel who played pivotal roles in the success of the military parade.
