ALGIERS, January 3, 2024 – Speaking on national radio, Mr. Taoufik Berkani, CEO of the Textiles and Leather Group “Getex,” announced plans for the group to invest in the establishment of new production units in several provinces in the southern part of the country.
According to Mr. Berkani, the state-owned group aims to position itself and enter into free trade zones with neighboring countries: “The establishment of these new production units will contribute to reducing production costs, especially with the proximity to several countries that have abundant raw materials,” he explained.
“Getex also plans to reposition itself in the domestic market, in addition to expanding exports to African countries,” he added.
