Transforming Education: Enhancing Quality and Teacher Welfare
In line with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s directives, the government examined progress in revising the status and indemnity regime of education sector personnel. This initiative aims to enhance the social standing of teachers and education professionals, recognizing their central role in shaping future generations.
The discussion extended to revising school curricula, focusing on reducing content volume while fostering developmental learning. Special emphasis was placed on strengthening collaboration between public and private education sectors to deliver a high-quality educational experience. Cinematic Tribute to Emir Abdelkader
Highlighting Algeria’s rich history, the government reviewed the progress of a cinematic project dedicated to Emir Abdelkader. This film seeks to celebrate the universal legacy of the Emir, his resistance against colonialism, his efforts in laying the foundations of the modern Algerian state, and his enduring global recognition as a symbol of resilience and wisdom. President Tebboune has called for the project’s expedited launch, reflecting its cultural and historical significance.
Progress in Housing, Technology, and Agriculture
The meeting also covered key updates in housing and infrastructure development. The government reviewed advancements in the Assisted Promotional Housing Program (LPA) in the Algiers region, reaffirming its commitment to addressing housing needs and improving citizens’ living standards.
Technological infrastructure received notable attention, with discussions on the nationwide fiber optic deployment program. This initiative is part of Algeria’s broader digital transformation strategy, aimed at enhancing connectivity and fostering economic growth.
In agriculture, the government assessed measures to combat the spread of foot-and-mouth disease, ensuring the safety and sustainability of the nation’s livestock sector.
