ALGIERS- The Minister of Transport, Youcef Cheurfa gave, this Wednesday at a government meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister, Mr. Aïmene Benabderrahmane, a presentation on the establishment of the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), responsible for the regulation, control and supervision of the activities of the civil Aviation. The minister explained, according to a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s office, that the creation of this body “would allow our country to meet international standards and the recommendations of the international civil aviation organization”.
He also communicated on the project to build the Catering center of Air Algérie. This is a requirement, he argued, dictated by “the needs expressed after the full resumption of flights by the national company Air Algérie compared to the Covid-19 period, and the launch of new airlines both domestically and internationally”.
