Government Meeting: Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui’s Directives Focus on Economic and Social Priorities

ALGIERS-Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui presided over a government meeting on Wednesday, addressing mechanisms to expedite the implementation of directives from the President of the Republic. These directives aim to enhance citizens’ purchasing power and ensure the market’s supply of widely consumed products.
During the meeting, the government received a presentation from the Minister of Commerce and Export Promotion regarding measures to “reduce increases in the prices of widely consumed products, control their markets, ensure a regular supply to national markets, and combat commercial speculation,” according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office.
In this context, the Prime Minister issued a series of directives emphasizing the need to supply the domestic market with widely consumed products and intensify efforts to combat speculation. He urged the government members to prioritize the economic and social concerns of the country in line with the President’s instructions.
The directives underscored the importance of addressing economic and social challenges, with a specific focus on mitigating the impact of rising prices on consumer goods. The government aims to implement measures that not only stabilize prices but also ensure the availability of essential products for the citizens.
