ALGIERS- The Government examined, Wednesday, during its weekly meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister Mr. Aïmene Benabderrahmane, a presentation relating to the phenomenon of the desilting of the railway tracks, indicated a press release from the Prime Minister’s office.
The presentation given by the Minister of Transport, focused on the main factors behind this phenomenon, particularly in certain Saharan regions, according to the same source.
The presentation also addressed the solutions and measures to be taken to fight against the silting of the railways, through the multiplication of de-silting and maintenance operations on the entire railway network, as well as the intense afforestation operations along the lines concerned, the press release concluded.
