ALGIERS- The Ministry of Transport announced in a statement on Thursday that Tamanrasset Airport (Aguenar-Hadj Bey Akhamouk) will be operated for the direct transport of hajjis to the Holy Places during the Hajj season 1444/2023.
“In application of the decision of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune and as part of the ongoing preparations for the Hajj season 1444/2023, the Ministry of Transport announces the strengthening of the list of national airports concerned by the transport of pilgrims to the Holy Places via direct flights from Tamanrasset airport (Aguenar – Hadj Bey Akhamouk), specified the press release, quoted by the APS agency.
According to the same source, direct flights for the transport of hajjis from the wilayas of Tamanrasset and Bordj Badji Mokhtar to the Holy Places will be scheduled at Tamanrasset airport.
