Hamas Representative in Algeria Praises Algeria’s Diplomatic Resolve in UN Security Council

ALGIERS- Dr. Youssef Hamdan, the representative of Hamas in Algeria, lauded Algeria’s unwavering and principled diplomatic efforts in the UN Security Council, dubbing it as a model of resilient diplomacy. In an exclusive statement to the Algerian news channel Dzair Tube, Dr. Hamdan highlighted Algeria’s technical professionalism in representing the Arab group, emphasizing that Palestine remains a national priority for Algeria across all levels. He underscored that Algeria’s official stance reflects the popular sentiment through its consistent political and diplomatic struggle.
Despite facing significant international pressure to alter its role, Dr. Hamdan stated, “Algeria has steadfastly maintained its course and continued its systematic struggle.” He noted Algeria’s success in securing a resolution from the Security Council despite ongoing political and legal support provided by the United States to the Zionist entity.
Expressing confidence in Algeria’s diplomatic resolve, Dr. Hamdan affirmed, “We believe that Algeria will persist in its diplomatic efforts to isolate the Zionist entity, which has become a burden on the international community.” He further stated his assurance that Algeria will continue to push for the Council to hold the occupation accountable for implementing the resolution and ceasing its aggression against the Palestinian people.
Dr. Hamdan concluded by reaffirming that Algerian diplomacy will stand alongside the Palestinian cause in all forums until independence is achieved.
