Algiers, Algeria | September 7th, 2024 — In an interview with Dzair Tube, political analyst Ibrahim Kebouche underscored the notable voter turnout across Algeria for the presidential election, highlighting a significant level of political engagement among the populace. On the topic of Algeria’s security, Kebouche emphasized the hard-won nature of the nation’s stability and urged citizens to differentiate between the state and the government. “When the government strives to elevate Algeria’s status and ensure dignified living conditions, why should we not align with it for the country’s benefit?” he questioned. He remarked that this election holds significant implications both domestically and internationally.

Kebouche also highlighted Algeria’s steadfast support for the Palestinian and Sahrawi causes, which has provoked hostility from certain countries seeking to create discord within Algeria. He criticized these actions, questioning why a friendly Arab nation would conspire with a neighboring state to destabilize Algeria despite its policy of good neighborliness.

Additionally, Kebouche praised the National Independent Electoral Authority (ANIE) for its effective management of the election, which has ensured the necessary conditions for a successful electoral process. He described the smooth conduct of the campaign as a substantial setback for factions attempting to disrupt the country. “We have the People’s National Army safeguarding Algeria’s borders and an independent electoral authority overseeing the protection of citizens’ voices, which is a major asset for us,” he noted.

Kebouche’s remarks highlight the critical importance of national unity and the role of every citizen in supporting Algeria’s stability and democratic process amid external challenges.
