Algiers, Algeria | January 11th, 2025 — On Saturday, in line with the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defence, a humanitarian aid shipment was dispatched from the Boufarik Air Base in Blida to the Republic of Burkina Faso.

Ibtissem Hamlaoui, President of the Algerian Red Crescent, supervised the aid shipment, underscoring Algeria’s unwavering commitment to solidarity with its African partners. “In strict implementation of the President’s directives, four military aircraft from the Algerian Air Force have been mobilized to deliver essential humanitarian assistance to our brotherly nation, Burkina Faso, with whom Algeria shares deep-rooted fraternal ties,” Hamlaoui affirmed.

The humanitarian shipment includes a comprehensive range of supplies, such as food products, pharmaceuticals, mattresses, blankets, tents, and other vital necessities aimed at supporting the Burkinabé population amid challenging circumstances.

This gesture reflects Algeria’s enduring humanitarian diplomacy and its continued efforts to foster unity and mutual aid across the African continent, ensuring the welfare of vulnerable communities through decisive and compassionate action.
