In Interview with Dzair Tube, Saudi Ambassador Extends Warm Invitation to Algerians, Highlights Strengthened Ties

Algiers, September 26, 2023- The Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Algeria, under the leadership of His Excellency Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Abdullah Albussairy, held a celebration on Sunday, commemorating the 93rd Saudi National Day. The event, attended by a distinguished assembly of diplomats, ministers, parliamentarians, and luminaries from various fields, served as a testament to the enduring and strengthening ties between the two nations.

Ambassador Abdullah Albussairy warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and, in his address, illuminated the longstanding bilateral relations that have connected Saudi Arabia and Algeria.

In an interview with Dzair Tube news channel, the Saudi envoy expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the attendees and extended a warm invitation to Algerians, saying, “We welcome them to Hajj, Umrah, and tourism… and we have opened visas.” He emphasized that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has embraced a more accessible visa policy, offering personal, tourist, and transit visas, further solidifying its status as a tourist destination.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomes the Algerian people with open arms, respects their culture, and facilitates visa issuance to strengthen the fraternal bonds between our nations,” Ambassador Albussairy declared. “Every Algerian visitor will find a warm welcome on Saudi soil.”

Reflecting on the enduring relationship between the two countries, Ambassador Albussairy noted, “Our bilateral ties have deep historical roots, extending back to a time before Algeria’s independence. We are committed to nurturing and expanding these relations.” He highlighted the establishment of the Supreme Coordination Council as a pivotal development, emphasizing its significance as a platform for enhancing relations. The council, led by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is poised to elevate cooperation between the nations, bolstered by a shared vision and the strong desire of their leaders.

The reception concluded with an air of optimism, as Ambassador Albussairy reiterated, “This promising collaboration signifies a bright future for Saudi Arabia and Algeria. We are dedicated to nurturing our partnership in the years to come.”
