Indian Ambassador Gaurav Ahluwalia Commends Level of Relations with Algeria

ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, received the Ambassador of India to Algeria, Mr. Gaurav Ahluwalia, on Monday for a farewell visit marking the conclusion of his tenure in Algeria.

During the meeting, the Indian ambassador expressed his sincere gratitude to the Algerian authorities for the warm reception, support, and cooperation extended to him throughout his tenure as his country’s representative in Algeria. He also lauded the strong bilateral relations between India and Algeria.

In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ahluwalia highlighted the robust partnership between India and Algeria, emphasizing the positive trajectory of diplomatic, economic, and cultural exchanges between the two nations during his tenure.

The farewell visit underscored the importance of maintaining and strengthening the longstanding ties between India and Algeria. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing cooperation across various sectors, including trade, investment, education, and cultural exchanges.

Mr. Attaf reciprocated the sentiments expressed by Ambassador Ahluwalia, praising the ambassador for his dedicated service and contributions to fostering mutual understanding and cooperation between India and Algeria. He reiterated Algeria’s commitment to nurturing the existing friendship and collaboration with India for the mutual benefit of both countries and their peoples.
