ALGIERS- Ali Aoun, the Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, announced on Thursday the establishment of a working group tasked with meticulously examining the situation of each idle industrial company or unit to propose solutions to revive their activities.
While emphasizing that the establishment of this working group was done in coordination with industrial groups and public holdings within the sector, Aoun underscored that reviving idle public companies and industrial units facing significant challenges was a “real challenge” for his sector, being “an important axis and a priority.”
In this context, the minister assured that the focus is on proposing solutions to revive them, including maintaining the same activity with operational solutions.
It also involves considering the possibility of changing activities and turning to promising sectors, through, notably, public-public partnerships (between companies belonging to the same group or between industrial groups within the industrial sector or other sectors), as well as opening up the company’s capital.
