ALGIERS- The installation ceremony of the governors, following a recent partial reshuffle by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, was presided over by the Minister of the Interior, Local Assemblies, and Regional Planning, Brahim Merad, in Algiers on Saturday.
President Tebboune had initiated a partial reshuffle within the body of governors on Wednesday, involving the transfer of several governors to different provinces. This included Mr. Mustapha Aghamir, governor of Ouargla, being transferred to Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Mr. Abdelghani Filali, governor of Ain Defla, moving to Ouargla, Mr. Aissa Aziz Bouras, governor of Ouled Djellal, transferred to Ain Defla, and Mr. Abderrahmane Dehimi, governor of Bordj Badji Mokhtar, moved to Ouled Djellal.
Mr. Merad stated that following the installation ceremony, each governor would assume their new position. He emphasized that all provinces of the country are significant and are undergoing a development process, reflecting Algeria’s progress.
The Minister of the Interior instructed the newly installed governors to maintain regular contact with citizens, as well as with associative movements and local authorities.
